When I first opened Nellie’s Wicks & Bricks, I set my prices as low as I possibly could, hoping to make my products affordable for everyone while I built something small and personal. In truth, I’ve never once taken a paycheck for myself during these first years — every dollar has gone into ingredients, supplies, shipping, packaging, and keeping the doors open.
But like every small maker, I’ve faced rising costs for raw materials, packaging, labor, shipping, and utilities. The costs to simply make and deliver the products you love have grown far beyond what I can continue absorbing. Between discounts for locals, first responders, military, and my own desire to keep things affordable, I’ve slowly reached a point where I can’t sustain it any longer without risking the very business itself.
So starting today, you will see some necessary pricing adjustments across my product line. These new prices reflect the true cost of making small batch, handcrafted goods with high-quality ingredients, shipped safely, and made right here in Tombstone, Arizona.
This decision hasn’t been easy — but it is necessary. My hope is that these changes allow Nellie’s Wicks & Bricks to continue for years to come — and allow me, finally, to earn a living doing what I love while continuing to serve you with the products you’ve trusted.
Thank you for your understanding, your kindness, and your loyalty. Your support truly means everything.
